Profile Forgings (P) Ltd. was established in 1988 to develop and produce tailor-made products to cater to the needs of our reputed clientele. The company specializes in Steel Forgings and is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Quality Policy Our Quality Policy is to fulfill all the quality norms as per the specification and maintain the highest standards of quality.
The raw material is procured as per the customers' specifications. The sample is then tested for carbon and magnesium content. It only after the confirmed specification from the customer, that the forging process is undertaken. The sample raw material is forged and tested for detecting any cracks in the material.
Our Infrastructure
We possess 5 cutting machines, capable of cutting up to 250 mm. dia. The Open Die Hammers have a capacity of 250 kg., 400 kg. and 700 kg.; while
the Closed Die Hammer has 600 kg. and 1.6 tonnes capability. The
availability of these hammers has equipped us to take up the components
weighing from 1 kg. to 150 kg. in Open Type Forging and 300 gm. to 10
kg. per piece in Closed Type Forging.
Products and Services Our
products - primarily stepped shafts, rings and flanges are customized in
accordance with the clients' specifications. We deal in all types of Steel Forgings, Open and Closed Die Forgings, Pump Valve Parts, Rig Parts and other machinery parts.
The components that we produce
are Main Spindles of Lathe, Textile Machinery Parts, Drilling Rig
Parts, Front Chuck from Scrap Piston, Value Parts like Disc and Valve
Stem. Our special products include Vertical Upsetting and Rings, King Pins and
Bolts.
Our Open Forging capability lies in manufacturing various
components in 16 MnCr5, EN Series 8, 8D, 9, 19, 24, 36C, 353, 354, SAE8620, AI SI 304, 316, 410 and mild steel. Forging is done on power
hammers using open dies, stepped shafts, gear blanks, flanges and rings
in steel and stainless steel. We also manufacture jointless rings up to
500 mm. dia. and weighing up to 80 kgs., stepped shafts weighing up to
150 kgs./piece, head upsetting for 100 mm. dia. and length 600 mm.
By
means of Drop Forging, we can forge jobs weighing up to 10 kg. per
piece like Connecting Rods, Web, Pump Flanges, Rings, Gears, Cones, etc.
Merits
- Forging facilitates saving of costly material from 25% to 75%
- Increased component strength possible due to improved grain flow
- Utilization of even single piece since cost of die is less when compared to closed die forging
- Scrap material can be employed gainfully by forging
- Inventory carrying cost can be reduced considerably
- Engineering
units consuming Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel and Mild
Steel can convert their components to forging in order to achieve substantial
saving in material and machining.
